THE SPHERE: IN BETWEEN THE DARK AND THE LIGHT
Out and About July 2025

Las Vegas, the desert fantasy of neon and decadence, where day becomes night and night becomes day, has been eclipsed by The Sphere with its cutting-edge audiovisual tech, sensory immersion, and unprecedented scale. Designed by the global entertainment architecture firm Populous, the orbital structure stands at 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, transforming the already surreal cityscape. Its exosphere, a massive LED Screen, creates mirage-like displays. On the interior, just as on the exterior, The Sphere redefines live entertainment by combining art, music, and technology. Construction pushed boundaries in visual tech, acoustics, and structural engineering.

Amplified Lifestyles and some of their colleagues were fortunate to experience The Sphere last year when they attended The Eagles’ residency there—the stadium’s seating bowl, with its 17,600 seats, allowed for optimum sightlines. The fully immersive 360° LED screen wraps around and over the audience, and the 160,000 integrated speakers ensure crystal-clear audio with perfect harmony. It was the ideal sensory venue for The Eagles’ 20-song setlist, including classic songs such as “One of These Nights,” “Hotel California,” and “The Boys of Summer.” The cinematic visuals took viewers on a nostalgic journey through the songs.
